5Squares Meal Delivery Platform
Project Description:
The objective of the 5Squares project was to develop a robust and scalable admin backend to streamline the management of orders, customers, recipes, and other key aspects of the business. This comprehensive admin backend facilitates efficient operations by allowing users to quickly access, manage, and report on data.
As the lead developer, I was responsible for creating the admin backend using SQL, a web API implemented in C# with .NET 6, and an Angular frontend. The platform includes various modules for managing different aspects of the business.
Key Features and Modules:
- Authentication: Require users to log in and support different roles
- Orders: Manage customer orders, track order statuses, and handle order modifications.
- Customers: Maintain customer profiles, preferences, and order histories.
- Users: Manage admin user accounts and permissions.
- Recipes: Create and manage recipes, including detailed ingredient lists and preparation instructions.
- Ingredients: Database of ingredients used in recipes, geared toward supporting dietary preferences and/or allergies
- Add-Ons: Manage additional items that customers can add to their cart during their order.
- Coupons: Implement and manage discount coupons for promotional purposes.
- Recipe Defaults: Set default recipes and meal configurations for weekly menus
- Assign Meals: Assign specific meals to customer orders based on preferences and dietary requirements.
- Renew Orders: Automate the process of renewing recurring orders.
- Packing Slips: Generate packing slips for meal packaging and delivery.
- Meal Labels: Create and print labels for meal containers.
- Reports: Generate various reports to analyze business performance and customer trends.
Deliverables:
- SQL Database: A well-structured database to store and manage all necessary data related to orders, customers, recipes, ingredients, etc.
- C# .NET 6 Web API: A scalable and secure REST API to handle all backend operations and business logic
- Admin Console Frontend: A user-friendly frontend with various screens dedicated to the described modules/features
